Meet Debbie Sims – Customer Success Director
We are excited to feature Debbie Sims, Client Success Director, SmartSearch, in our staff spotlight for October. Debbie has been with SmartSearch for almost 24 years and has been critical to our customers’ success in using SmartSearch. We hope this spotlight sheds some light on what makes Debbie tick and why she is so passionate about helping our customers succeed.
Who is Debbie Sims?
Debbie was born in Las Vegas, NV but was raised and currently resides in Southern California. She describes herself as a conqueror and a connector.
“I am a proud single mother of three amazing children. I strive in both my personal and professional life to make connections with people. As someone who has overcome many obstacles in life, I enjoy seeing others around me overcome their own hurdles and achieve their goals; especially those that improve not only their own lives but the lives of those around them,” says Debbie.
What are you most passionate about?
“In my professional life, I am most passionate about helping people get the most out of SmartSearch and showing people more efficient ways of completing tasks. I feel if I can help clients achieve a better work-life balance, it makes their home-life a little easier as well. I am always thinking of new ways to use SmartSearch’s system to help our clients be more efficient in their recruiting efforts,” says Debbie.
How long have you worked in this industry?
Debbie has been in the industry for almost 24 years. Debbie started with SmartSearch as a receptionist, where she quickly outgrew this role. After 1.5 years, she transitioned into tech support, training, and client implementation, playing an integral role for the next 11 years. With a need to drive retention and success, Debbie’s next move was into the customer success team, focusing on implementation, client retention, and customer satisfaction. Debbie has enjoyed this role over the last 12 years and now heads up the customer success team, allowing her to focus solely on the success of our clients.
Debbie’s understanding of the industry and the SmartSearch system allows her to accelerate new clients’ and users’ knowledge of SmartSearch, equipping them with all the tools and skills they need on their path to recruiting faster and smarter.
What do you love most about your role?
Debbie loves to see clients master SmartSearch and using the system to be more efficient recruiters.
“What I love most about my role is teaching people how to use SmartSearch and showing them more efficient ways to complete tasks and get the most out of the database. I love it when a client emails me to show off something that they set up in the system or to see them think of new and inventive ways to use features and functions in the database,” says Debbie.
