From the President’s Desk – March 2021
We have some very exciting news to update you on this month in our quest to provide our customers with ‘Best of Breed’ technology and customer service.
Client Success Department
I am excited to announce that Debbie Sims was recently promoted to Director of Client Success. This newly formed department exists for the sole purpose of ensuring your success using SmartSearch to grow your business, remain compliant, and provide our stakeholders with the best user experience.
Debbie is also happy to announce a new team-member, Kiana Morris, has joined her team.
Kiana has a degree in HR and extensive experience in helping clients shine. Be sure to read our Staff Spotlight for February to learn more about Kiana.
Client success is also working on many initiatives, including a new Learning Management System to automate the training process, as well as providing interactive sessions and quizzes.
We are also working on a ‘SmartSearch Expert’ Certification.
In addition to these exciting developments, we will also be offering games and incentives to help your users get the most out of the system.
Client success will also be act as project manager for larger customer projects.
We are getting close to our latest version of SmartSearch. Some of the new features we will be introducing include:
1. A new and improved document management area will ensure managing your growing document library is even easier.
2. A new HTML editor for emails and job descriptions – allowing reliable cut-and-paste from MSWord, built-in spell checking, and high-fidelity.
3. Our document signing tools will also receive an updated interface.
4. We are enhancing our onboarding process to allow you to indicate needed documents on a company level and/or client/department level.
5. Many new shortcuts and improvements are being added as well. Be sure to watch this space and check our regular blog updates and email newsletters for further details.
SmartSearch Plus is our ground-up rebuild of our flagship product. It is due out at the end of the year, and we can’t wait to show it to you. Our new product will be faster, with unparalleled configurability.
You may have noticed our emails are now using a SmartSearch.Plus domain in preparation for this exciting new platform.
Our support department is about to go live with a new ticket tracking system that will provide greater visibility to open requests and better tracking capability for us.
Online chat is also coming soon to ensure we are providing you with the best service possible.
You will also notice our support emails coming from email@example.com. While firstname.lastname@example.org and email@example.com will continue to work, we recommend you start using our newer email addresses for your support needs.
New Portals (Career, Manager, and VMS)
At the end of Q1, we will be releasing our newest set of portals.
The new career portal is based on the popular WordPress platform. This will include some exciting widgets to allow you to add job searching and applying to your corporate website.
If you don’t have WordPress, don’t worry, our hosted solution is still available, and we will be offering over a dozen templates to allow you to easily select a look and feel for your career site quickly.
Our manager portal and VMS portals are also getting a new look and feel.
This world-class experience will be sure to dazzle your candidates and hiring managers.
